Paint Color Matcher: stop guessing the shade
This app exists because of a very specific frustration: standing in a paint store with a photo of a wall, holding it next to forty nearly identical swatches, and realizing that 'warm off-white, but not too yellow' is not a color specification.
Paint Color Matcher turns your camera or photo library into a color analysis tool. Take a photo of any surface — a wall, a piece of furniture, a fabric — and the AI identifies the closest matching colors from major global paint brands. You get the brand, the paint name, and the manufacturer code, so you can walk into the store and ask for the exact thing.
The color card
Every match comes with a full color card: HEX, RGB, and HSL values alongside the paint information. That half of the feature is for digital work — designers pulling a physical color into Figma, artists matching a reference, developers stealing a palette from the real world. The physical and digital color workflows live in one place.
The brand library covers the leading manufacturers and keeps growing. Matches are ranked, so when the closest one isn't quite right you usually find the winner in the next two or three.
Lighting is the enemy
The hardest problem wasn't matching — it was lighting. The same wall photographed at noon and at dusk are two different colors to a camera. A lot of the work went into normalizing for white balance so the app sees the paint, not your lighting. It's still not magic: overcast daylight photos get the best results, and the app says so.
