Habit AI: a habit tracker that stops you from burning out
Every habit tracker I ever used trained me to do one thing: feel guilty. Miss a day, lose the streak, watch the app punish you for having a sick day or a deadline. The streak becomes the point, and the habit becomes the thing you abandon when the streak dies.
Habit AI is built around a different idea: your daily capacity is a finite resource. Each habit gets energy points, and the app tracks your daily budget in real time. Overcommit — ten habits on a day that has capacity for four — and it warns you before you burn out, not after. Color-coded feedback shows the balance at a glance: green means sustainable, yellow means careful, red means you're borrowing from tomorrow.
A coach that reads your patterns
The AI coach analyzes your completion history and finds what's actually working: which days you always miss, what time of day each habit survives, how your energy and mood correlate with follow-through, how you recover after a broken streak. Then it suggests concrete changes — move this habit to mornings, shrink that one, pair this with an existing routine.
On devices that support it (iPhone 15 Pro and newer, iOS 18), the coaching runs entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence. Everywhere else it uses secure server functions with keys stored server-side only.
Privacy is the feature
Habit data is about as personal as data gets, so none of it leaves your device: no cloud sync of your habits, no analytics, no third-party trackers. Everything is stored locally.
There's also a timeline view of your day with automatic wake-up and bedtime anchors, so habits live in the context of your actual schedule instead of an abstract list. Free on the App Store.
